Why do people mix religion with fashion?

Tara Subkoff brought out her 2007 designs with the theme of ‘Imitation of Christ’. The
red dress worn by Carmen Electra looked like a Tokyo girl gone crazy in new york fashion. If you have to do justice to your theme the idea is to truly make it captivating and not repulsive. Even with Madonna pulling of the stunt by crucifying herself there is a need to look within the fashion and glamour industry the sublimal line between the sanctity of a religion and stepping over it.
Carmen adorned a red shantung silk dress which looked ultra commercial but did not drive home the theme of the collection. The Kimonos with the unfettered buttons and long hoods reminds you of some secret societal existence. Fashion is only appreciated when it is understood.
