Of course Carmen’s fashion rocks! Irrespective of whether or not she is wearing anything. But we are not talking about her personal fashion. But we are talking about what is called Fashion Rocks 06 - the celebration of Fashion and Music. Well this kicked off the New York Fashion Week.

So what’s it all about. Well Elton John started off the celebrations of Fashion and Music. But it was Carmen Electra who rocked the show. But tell me what guys, what do you think she did at the show. Here are your options: a) She wored some wonderful creations by designers and walked the ramp b) she rapped c)she wore horrible dresses and attended the celebrity haunted show with people lile Elton John, Beyonce etc d)she didn’t turn up for the show even though she was invitied e)she turned up for the show uninvited and wanted to host f)she hosted the show ang g) something else.

Tara Subkoff brought out her 2007 designs with the theme of ‘Imitation of Christ’. The red dress worn by Carmen Electra looked like a Tokyo girl gone crazy in new york fashion. If you have to do justice to your theme the idea is to truly make it captivating and not repulsive. Even with Madonna pulling of the stunt by crucifying herself there is a need to look within the fashion and glamour industry the sublimal line between the sanctity of a religion and stepping over it.

Carmen adorned a red shantung silk dress which looked ultra commercial but did not drive home the theme of the collection. The Kimonos with the unfettered buttons and long hoods reminds you of some secret societal existence. Fashion is only appreciated when it is understood.
